Findings of Public Consultation: Leeds Parks & Green Spaces Strategy 2020-2030

Date

In 2019, Leeds Parks & Countryside Service launched a public consultation ‘Final Towards a Leeds Parks Green Spaces Strategy to 2030‘ to develop a vision for the future of Leeds City Council owned and managed public parks and green spaces beyond 2020, and a strategy for how to deliver that vision over the next 10 years. The new strategy will replace the previous strategy which runs to 2020.

Some 2,000 people responded to the consultation and the results were analysed by Leeds City Council and the University of Leeds. The report ‘Parks & Green Spaces Strategy – Findings of Public Consultation’ sets out the main findings of the consultation, including what people thought might be improved about local parks and green spaces in Leeds. It found that 85% of respondents’ agreed with the top seven priorities set out by Leeds City Council Parks and Countryside serve.
