- In 1857, Woodhouse Moor was acquired by the Leeds Corporation and became the city’s first public park. Visit our stand (11am-3pm) or join us for a guided tour of the park (3pm, departing from the Wellington Statue) to learn about what our research has found about the role of these spaces in the city, from their Victorian origins to the present day. Please wear suitable shoes.
